Business Tax Advisor

We are seeking a Business Tax Advisor to deliver proactive, planning-driven tax services for our clients’ closely held businesses. This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with practical advice in a collaborative wealth management environment.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and sign off on federal and state tax returns for corporations and partnershipsManage the full compliance process, including estimates, extensions, and K-1 coordinationAdvise on entity selection, restructuring, and tax-efficient operating strategiesDevelop compensation and distribution planning strategies for business ownersAnalyze and recommend retirement plan options in coordination with broader planning objectivesSupport exit and succession planning, including business sales, ownership transitions, and generational transfersCollaborate with financial advisors and other internal specialists to integrate business tax strategies into comprehensive client planningQualificationsMinimum 7 years of public accounting experience with an extensive background in entity taxationCPA or JD required; Master’s in taxation preferredAbility to manage multiple client engagement and projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong research and analytical skillsWillingness and desire to be part of a teamCompensationSalary range: $150,000 – $200,000Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, and Disability Insurance for employees are 100% paid for by the company401(k) Plan + matchOur CultureEmpirical is truly unique.
