Lead Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Architect and implement a modern Assessment platform using technologies such as TypeScript, React, React Native, Flutter, and GraphQL.• Establish and champion best-in-class engineering practices to ensure systems are modular, scalable, resilient, and flexible.• Define and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and quality metrics to maintain high engineering standards.• Lead technical design discussions, perform code reviews, and provide hands-on guidance across the engineering team.• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevSecOps practices.• Contribute to platform hosting, deployment, and runtime strategies, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.What You'll Need• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.• Expert-level proficiency in modern application development, including TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, React Native, Flutter, Swift, and Kotlin.• Strong experience designing and consuming GraphQL and REST-based APIs.• Deep understanding of database design and performance, with hands-on experience using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and contributing to DevSecOps practices.• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant portion in senior, staff, or principal-level roles.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary of $180,000 per year, plus bonus potential.• Comprehensive healthcare coverage and multiple 401(k) savings plan options.• Generous paid time off, including holidays, volunteer time off, and paid family leave.• Opportunities for professional development, including tuition reimbursement and training support.Apply via Haystack today!
