Database Architect

Summary: We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator and ETL Specialist to support and enhance complex data systems. The ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with hands-on expertise in Oracle database environments, ETL operations, and secure data processing. This role involves the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and support of mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities: Perform end-to-end ETL operations, including data evaluation, encryption/decryption, transformation, and reconciliation. Design, configure, and maintain Oracle RAC databases, Fusion Middleware, BI Publisher, and Oracle Cloud Control. Conduct business process analysis, define technical requirements, and develop system design documentation. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for high availability and operational stability. Oversee secure data transmission using protocols like SAIG, SFTP, VPN, and TDClient. Administer and secure databases using Oracle TDE, Wallet, Database Vault, and Linux Shell scripting. Provide production support with real-time troubleshooting for ODAS system users. Mentor and guide junior-level staff while coordinating with OIG system administrators and DAS teams. Manage version upgrades and patches in Oracle Grid Infrastructure and associated middleware components. Analyze system performance and ensure optimization through SQL tuning and Oracle statistics. Required Skills & Qualifications: Clearance: Must possess an active T4 High Risk Public Trust clearance. Technical Skills: Expertise in Oracle and MS SQL Server database administration and tuning. Proficiency with SQL*Loader, Data Pump, PL/SQL, SQL Plus, and Toad. Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic, OAM, OUD, and BI Publisher configuration. Experience in automating data loads using Windows/Linux scripting. Familiarity with Shell scripting, MS SharePoint, and Oracle security architecture. Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
