Quality Inspector (Roaming)

Job Description C&W Swiss, Inc. is seeking to add an experienced Roaming Inspector to our team. C&W Swiss manufactures precision medical instruments, spinal implants, and bone screws using Star Swiss Style CNC lathes. We are a family-owned and operated machine shop that has been in business for over 27 years, operating first shift only. We believe in work life balance and strive for all our employees to do well. If you work for C&W Swiss you will be a name not a number, in our clean, well lit, climate-controlled facility.Responsibilities:· Perform daily roaming inspections on all production machines· Assist in first and last piece inspection· Assist in performing final inspections· Perform inspections using the Oasis.· Satisfy all established quality assurance requirements related to production· Report any non-conformances to the Quality Manager· Make recommendations and suggestions to achieve continual improvement· Maintain business and customer confidentiality· Follow all safety, fire prevention, sanitation, and smoking regulations· Assist in program planning and goal setting· Encourage and participate in cooperative working relationships· Report regularly to Quality Manager quality assurance and inspection issues· Ensure all equipment and materials used are operated and maintained in a safe and efficient manner.Qualifications:Required Skills:· Competent in operation of printers, computers, and Microsoft Office (including but not limited to; excel, word, and outlook.)· Ability to use basic inspection devices (micrometers, calipers, pin, and thread gages, ect.)· Ability to use Optical Comparator· Reading Blueprints· Basic Understanding of ISO Quality Management Systems and documentation· Strong analytical skills· Detail Oriented· Good communication and teamwork skills· Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Skills:· Experience with ISO Standard 13485:2016· Previous experience working in medical and/or aerospace manufacturingEducation Requirement: High School Diploma or EquivalentPay: Negotiable upon skill levelBenefits: Medical, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, Dental, Aflac, 401K, Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holiday PayFacility Hours: 7:00AM – 4:30PMJob Type: Full-time*You must be able to pass a background check.
