The Driver will manage the security and quality of used oil and other related materials while loading and unloading trucks and picking up from and delivering materials for our customers.Key Responsibilities For The PositionFunction within the guidelines of the LLR “Team Ground Rules” and Mission Statement to maintain and create superior customer loyalty and satisfactionMaintain active driver’s license, medical card, and truck operation in full compliance with federal, state, and local lawsManage driving records, maintain logbook, perform pre - and post - safety trip inspections and document in safety logbook to include defectsSecure company property by locking the doors of your vehicle when not in serviceMaintain interior & exterior cleanliness of truck along with collection system equipment to maintain a highly reliable, professional-looking Liquid Recycling vehicleHandle materials safely and organize on truck to simplify future pick-up/delivery process and report all safety defects to appropriate personnel immediatelyManage the flow of inventory and pic-up delivery documents for all material movement through handheld data entry transactionsCommunicate with Accounting as needed to assure accurate inventory and document reportingHe/she will act as a ‘goodwill ambassador” of LLR while driving and with each customer, to uphold the professional company reputationEnsure all customer needs are met and take necessary actions) notifying appropriate LLR personnel) when necessary to address customer needsWork with operations/salesman to develop delivery routes and schedule, providing suggestions for the most efficient deliveryBuild relationships with customers through friendly attitude when pic-up/delivering.Explain our pick-up/delivery schedules to customersBecome familiar with customer operations to anticipate their needsMaintain schedules when pic-up/delivering, to meet customer expectationsCommunicate with Supervisor and Dispatch daily to assure on time pick-up/deliveries and understand customer needs.Submit pick-up, delivery, and expense documents weekly to your supervisorContinuous improvement to minimize operating expenses is expectedPerforms other duties, including temporary assignment to higher or lower classification job as assigned by managementEducationHigh School Diploma or GEDExperience/Training2 years driving experience Experience with handheld controllersLicenses/CertificatesClass B license Class A CDL licenseHazmat and Tanker endorsements with DOT regulations Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesSolid verbal/written communication skillsGood organizational skillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations on a regular basisMust demonstrate the ability to make effective decisions within a rapidly changing environmentPhysical Demands: sitting, walking, twisting, squatting, reclining, climbing, kneeling, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, repetitive motion, lifting 75 pounds.Mental Demands: Comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex or varied tasks, relate to others, influence people, make decisions, direct, control, plan, interact with public or coworkers in written form, communicate orally, etc.Environmental Demands: Extreme cold or heat, noise, vibration, exposure to (dust/ gas/ fumes/steam/chemicals), work outdoors, work at heights, working around moving machinery, walking on uneven ground, PPE required, etc.RoleThe anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $32.00 and $34.00 hourly.
