Industrial Maintenance and Controls Technician
Step into a day as our Industrial Maintenance and Controls TechnicianYou arrive on shift and immediately walk the line, inspecting and testing equipment against the preventive maintenance plan. As production ramps, you monitor for basic system alarms, reset issues as needed, and coordinate closely with nearby operators, supervisors, and teammates to keep throughput on target.Mid-shift, you might dismantle a faulty assembly, replace or install repaired parts, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, and gears, and bring equipment back online. Electrical work comes naturally—installing and repairing devices, tracing faults, and getting controls back in spec. When the job calls for it, you design, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You keep a respirator-ready mindset, follow safety procedures to the letter, and maintain your PPE and safety equipment in clean, reliable condition.Toward shift end, you tidy the area, complete documentation that supports our Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems, and share a precise handoff. You support continual improvement efforts and JSOX compliance, then prep for the next cycle—because reliability never stops.Schedule and compensationFull-time 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 scheduleAverage 14 days off each monthExtended weekends off every other weekPay depends on experience, up to $35/hrOvertime as required to meet customer demandsWhat you'll handleInspect and test machinery and equipment; execute all preventive maintenance activitiesTroubleshoot issues with supervisors/managers and coordinate corrective actionsDismantle defective machines, install new/repaired parts, and return assets to serviceFollow all safety procedures; work with a respirator when needed and maintain safety gearClean and lubricate mechanical components; install/repair electrical equipmentDesign, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic/pneumatic systemsRespond to basic alarms and perform resets as necessaryCommunicate effectively in close proximity with coworkers for planning and updatesMove carts, pallets, and toolboxes as needed to access and repair equipmentMaintain regular, consistent attendance and multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing settingUphold company policies, procedures, and safety rules; keep a clean, safe work areaSupport the Quality Management and Environmental Management SystemsSupport continual improvement initiatives and JSOX complianceOther duties as assignedQualifications/requirements1 year certificate from a college or technical school; or 3You Should Be Proficient InPLC Troubleshooting SkillsEquipment TroubleshootingElectrical Troubleshooting SkillsMechanical Troubleshooting SkillsHydraulics ExperienceTroubleshooting Industrial Automation EquipmentPLC Programming ExperienceExperience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentMachines and technologies you'll useVariable Frequency Drives (VFD)Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC): Fanuc, Omron, Panasonic, Schneider Electric, Beckoff, Modicon, B&R Industrial Automation, SigmatekServo Motors
