Behavioral Specialist in School Setting | Chester, Pennsylvania
Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Behavior Specialist position is available to support an elementary school serving grades K-5 in Chester, PA. This contract role spans a full semester, beginning as soon as possible and concluding on June 12, 2026. The position involves working onsite with a caseload of students across 13 classrooms, focusing on supporting special education needs and behavior management.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborating closely with PaTTAN consultants to implement evidence-based practices aligned with the PAI Tiered Implementation Inventory.
Overlapping during scheduled consultation visits and providing ongoing support to staff when consultants are not on site.
Ensuring anchor classrooms model best practices that can be scaled to other settings.
Supporting staff to maintain fidelity to recommended strategies and provide continual guidance and training to ensure sustainability.
Working directly with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behaviorally challenged students.
Facilitating a positive, inclusive learning environment and supporting special education programming.
Qualifications:
RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification or BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) credential required.
Significant experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming.
Proven experience working with the ASD population in a school-based setting.
Comfortable working in an urban environment and with behaviorally challenged students.
Ability to obtain and complete Pennsylvania clearances.
Strong references and prior school-based experience are required.
Willingness to disclose the district upfront and participate in a Zoom interview.
