Construction Estimator

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed heavy civil estimates, takeoffs, and bid proposals.Review RFQs, RFPs, plans, specifications, and construction documents.Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, owners, and project teams.Develop project schedules and support bid submissions.Conduct site visits and assist with proposal development.Use HCSS estimating software and related tools.Qualifications5+ years of heavy civil/site work and utility experience.3+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor.Strong knowledge of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, earthwork, and roadwork.Public works experience in New York/New Jersey strongly preferred.Familiarity with NYSDOT, NYCDDC, and NYCDEP specifications preferred.HCSS experience preferred; strong ability to learn quickly.Knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.Strong communication, organization, leadership, and time-management skills.Must be able to commute to Brooklyn daily.
