Retail Lead

DescriptionThe Retail Team Lead supports daily store operations while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean, and productive environment. This role provides leadership support in the absence of store management and ensures team members are properly trained and following company policies and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Provide outstanding customer service to all customers, donors, and team membersSupport daily retail operations, including opening and closing the store as neededTrain employees on job duties, equipment use, and safety proceduresMonitor store conditions and ensure a clean, safe, and organized environmentConduct safety checks and report or correct hazards immediatelyRespond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and store needsAssist in achieving sales goals and operational targetsMaintain clear and consistent communication with Store ManagerEnsure compliance with company policies and proceduresReport security issues, theft, or safety concerns immediatelyComplete required paperwork accurately and on timeSupervisory ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership support when Store Manager and Assistant Manager are not presentAssist with training, assigning work, and addressing team concernsThis position does not have authority to hire, terminate, or discipline employees unless directed by senior managementQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 3 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong customer service and communication skillsBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, percentages)Ability to follow instructions and make sound decisionsBasic computer skills (POS systems, email, Microsoft Office)Bilingual skills are a plusCore CompetenciesCustomer Service ExcellenceTeamwork & CollaborationCommunication Skills (Written & Verbal)Problem-Solving & JudgmentProfessionalism & IntegritySafety AwarenessDependability & InitiativePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsOccasional bending, climbing, and reachingAbility to work in a moderately noisy environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditionsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 3 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong customer service and communication skillsBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, percentages)Ability to follow instructions and make sound decisionsBasic computer skills (POS systems, email, Microsoft Office)Bilingual skills are a plusAdditional RequirementsReliable transportation may be required must have proof of current auto liability insuranceAbility to respond to emergency situations as neededLanguage SkillsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
