Sr. DevSecOps Engineer
Job Title: Senior DevSecOps EngineerRole OverviewWe are partnering with a well-established company in the health and well-being services industry that provides technology-driven support solutions to organizations. The company is modernizing how it builds and ships software, moving to the cloud, standardizing CI/CD, and giving its Software Engineering teams the ability to build, deploy, and own their products end to end.This is a high-leverage Senior DevSecOps Engineer role focused on infrastructure design and technical direction across multiple application teams, including directing AI-assisted development of pipelines and automation and validating what it produces before it ships. This is a fully remote, US-based position.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn CI/CD and infrastructure design across supported application teams, including architecture, deployment strategy (blue/green, canary, feature flags), and the specs that direct AI-built pipelines, infrastructure code, and automationDecide what needs verification and validate that pipeline tests, policy-as-code, and security gates actually prove what they claimBuild shared standards, tooling, and practices in partnership with the broader DevSecOps team, rather than one-off fixes per teamOwn application observability: instrument services, tie alerting to product SLOs, and help engineers across teams debug and resolve production issuesMaintain accountability for reviews, deployment decisions, on-call response, and incident learnings, regardless of who or what wrote the codeCoach engineers across supported teams on specifying, delegating to, and validating AI-generated workWrite clean, maintainable, well-documented infrastructure and automation codeEducation & QualificationsHands-on experience using agentic AI as a primary tool for planning and building CI/CD and infrastructure, including writing specs for AI to execute against and catching subtle errors in its outputProven experience building and operating production CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure at scale (AWS or Azure), including carrying on-call loadExperience treating testing, security, and observability as designed-in requirements rather than something a separate function catches laterExperience working across multiple application teams and collaborating with a central DevSecOps or platform function to build practices that generalizeHands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes for application workloads (Helm or similar), serverless functions, and one or more IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM)Fluency in at least one modern programming language (for example, Python or Java)Experience building security into the pipeline by default: SAST/DAST/SCA and secrets scanning, least-privilege IAM, and encryption in transit and at rest.Preferred ExperienceExperience operating within regulated compliance frameworks such as HIPAA/HITRUST and SOC 2Experience supporting systems that handle sensitive or protected dataWhy Our ClientOpportunity to shape how a growing engineering organization adopts AI-driven development practicesHigh-leverage, high-autonomy role with real ownership of infrastructure and technical directionCollaborative DevSecOps team building shared standards across multiple product teamsFully remote positionStable, well-established organization investing in modernizing its technologyCompensation, Benefits And PerksBase salary range: $150,000 – $200,000Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision401(k) with matchPaid Time Off (PTO)Robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellness programApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.
