State Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist, REMOTE. Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the quality, completeness, and accuracy of clinical documentation through extensive record review and education Communicate with and educate healthcare providers regarding clinical documentation standards and monitor engagement Conduct concurrent reviews of patient health records and accurately code relevant diagnoses while resolving discrepanciesRequired QualificationsAssociate/Diploma Degree in Nursing or Health Information Technology, or an advanced degree in a medical field Current Registered Nurse License, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or licensure as a PA/NP/APN required Two years of experience in Critical Care, Medical or Surgical Inpatient Care Nursing, or inpatient coding preferred Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Professional (CDIP) preferred Proficient with computer systems and software for data entry and documentation purposes
