Tax Coordinator - Accounting Assistant
The Bachrach Group is partnered with one of the leading oilfield services organizations on their search for a TAX COORDINATOR - Accounting Assistant. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience as an ACCOUNTING / FINANCE / TAX ASSISTANT or similar roles as well as advanced Excel skills. A degree is strongly preferred, HS/GED is required.RESPONSIBILITIES:Executive & Administrative Support—Manage the Director's schedule, including meetings, calendar coordination, and communication flowDevelop and organize materials such as presentations, reports, and briefing documentsOversee travel logistics, expense submissions, and other administrative needsProject Oversight & Coordination—Track the status of multiple tax initiatives to ensure deadlines and milestones are achievedMaintain organized systems to monitor project timelines, ownership, and interdependenciesPartner with internal teams to gather required information for tax filings, audits, and planning effortsProactively follow up with stakeholders to keep projects moving and ensure accountabilityData & Excel Management—Design and maintain detailed spreadsheets for compliance tracking, tax provisions, audit support, and project monitoringLeverage advanced Excel tools (such as PivotTables, Power Query, and lookup functions) to interpret and present dataAssist with compiling and organizing data needed for returns, audits, and ad hoc analysesTax Operations Support—Oversee and update the department’s compliance schedule across federal, state, and international requirementsOrganize and maintain documentation for filings, audits, and reporting activitiesMonitor changes in tax regulations and summarize potential impacts to the businessContribute to process improvements, including adoption of new tools and automation effortsCross-Functional Communication—Act as a coordination point between the tax team and other departments to streamline information sharingPrepare clear and professional written communications for leadershipArrange and facilitate internal and cross-departmental meetingsFor additional details and the next steps, please send your resume to:Location: Houston, TX (Tidwell and 290 area)Schedule: FULLY ONSITESalary range: $50,000 - $62,000 DOE****Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.****
