Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a travel job in Moses Lake, Washington.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Mammography TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 06/08/2026Duration: 8 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 5x8hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Jun 8, 2026Length: 8 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Mammography Coordinator to lead and coordinate a comprehensive breast imaging program, requiring ARRT certification in both Radiography and Mammography with preferred experience in the mammography field.DetailsDiagnostic imaging setting within a hospital-based mammography departmentWorks closely with the Imaging Director, Radiologist Medical Director, and the broader imaging teamPerforms low-dose x-ray mammography procedures and osteoporosis (bone density) examsOversees quality control and quality improvement requirements to meet ACR/FDA/MQSA certification standards, including the MQSA BI-RADS programPatient population spans the full age continuum requiring age-appropriate care competency4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM8-week contractRequirementsARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) requiredFDA MQSA mammography certification requiredBLS/CPR at the Healthcare Provider (HCP) level requiredGraduated from an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program or equivalent alternate trainingMinimum of 3 years of experience in the mammography field preferredStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills requiredProficiency with diagnostic mammography and osteoporosis equipmentAbility to lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform frequent/prolonged standing and walkingAbility to lift, position, push, and transfer patients and move heavy equipmentLicense required if applicableAdditional InformationServes as the primary mammography education resource for physicians, patients, and technologistsLeads MQSA compliance efforts including technologist certification and departmental statistical reportingCollaborates with the Radiologist Medical Director on clinical aspects of the mammography program, including staff competency evaluationsReviews pathology, surgical, and delivery reports to track patient progress and assess diagnostic accuracyCritiques completed study quality with the Radiologist Medical Director and determines if additional imaging is neededAssists in employee orientation, training, and performance evaluationsResponsible for maintaining QC/QI documentation, scheduling, and patient recordkeepingProvides radiation protection for patients, staff, and self in accordance with established safety standardsMaintains professional development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliationsAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-683987.
