This role will be the lead staff member for booking & monitoring internal campus events, as well as setting of facilities for all events. Duties of this integral teammate will include managing and setting the furnishings for meetings and events including tables, chairs, flooring, and staging, providing directional signage, and hiring and managing a team of students to assist with room set-ups. In this position, and once fully trained in facility set-ups, this role will coordinate internal campus events. Events such as conferences, meetings, and celebrations will be within the purview of this position. As a member of the Event Center Team, this position will also represent the college in assisting with external clients and events.Key ResponsibilitiesBe the lead for event set-up and coordinate assistance with a team of students. Oversee events on-site, and collaborate with the Event Center team and partners on logistics. Night and weekend hours are occasionally necessary and flexibility is required. Must be able to work independently, as a team, and as a leader. This position requires strong customer service, as well as a person who is detail-oriented, organized and has good written and verbal communication skills.Event set up and tear down, including laying down carpet tiles, arranging tables and chairs, and setting staging and other event furnishings. Requires physical labor and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.Hiring and managing a student crew of 8+ to assist with room set up and tear down. - Requires organization, good communication, leadership, and team-building skills with a college-aged population.Large format printing. - Requires some experience or learning with printing and pdfs.Customer Service for event guests (internal and external).
