The position demands a hands-on approach, especially in the first year, to establish repeatable processes that drive long-term growth, performance, and accountability. Applicants for the Chief People Officer role at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR role within a similar business setting. Experience in retail, e-commerce, or field-based consumer operations, particularly with fast-growing brands, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scaling organizations and be well-versed in best practice HR across all areas, with a strong emphasis on talent management. A deep understanding of California and multi-state employment laws is a must. The role requires a high-energy, approachable communicator who can engage with employees at all levels.
