Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position in Gainesville, FL, for a Learning Specialist focused on Middle School and High School students. The Learning Specialist is an advanced educator who supports students with learning differences or academic struggles. They analyze cognitive processes, design personalized learning plans, and teach essential skills like executive functioning and time management. They also bridge the gap between students, parents, and classroom teachers. This professional supervises our weekly study halls, small group testing, provides 1-1 academic coaching, supports our benchmark MAP testing and works with teachers to support all students.QualificationsCommitment to The Rock School’s Christian mission and valuesExceptional communication skills to engage with students, parents, and facultyPassion for working with middle and high school students and understanding their unique academic needsBachelor’s degree in Education or Special EducationPreferred QualificationsExperience with International Baccalaureate programs is an advantageAdditional endorsements or experience/certification in working with students with learning differences
