RECREATION THERAPIST

Responsibilities Recreational Therapist- Inpatient Behavioral HealthHorizon Health is seeking a PRN recreational therapist to cover when our full time Rec Therapist is on PTO on our inpatient behavioral health unit at Carolina East in New Bern, NC. The Certified Recreational Therapist conducts and administers therapeutic recreation and/or activity services for the facility.Responsibilities:Designs and implements therapeutic activities for patients based on a thorough assessment of the patient's symptom presentation, professional/referral input and all other available dataEvaluates and documents patients' responses to treatment and progress towards goals, to develop and document recommendations for discharge and aftercare.Conducts individual and/or group sessions in accordance with state/regulatory standards, displays sufficient theoretical knowledge of effective treatment techniques.Provides appropriate education, resources and support for patients before, during, and after treatment.Completes progress notes and assessments according to program procedures.Who we are & where you can make a difference:Quality care is our passion; improving lives is our reward.
