We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator. This position is responsible for processing payroll for all Midland Asphalt locations (New York state and Pennsylvania) while complying with all state and federal regulations and corporate policies. This is a full-time year round hybrid position.Main ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly payroll for approximately 100 hourly construction employees, including certified payrollsComputes fringe benefits on a quarterly basisAudits and reconciles payroll register on a weekly basisAccurately updates job and fringe rates in payroll system on a regular basisWorks with supervisors to ensure job codes and hours worked are accurateAssists employees in answering payroll related questionsPrepares monthly corporate payroll related reportsTracks hourly employee vacation hours and sick hours each payroll processingMaintains confidentiality while handling sensitive information in a professional mannerOther duties as assigned by Regional Controller and Human Resources ManagerExperience And QualificationsPrior payroll or related experience requiredMust possess a valid driver's licenseHigh level of accuracy and advanced attention to detailPossess knowledge of Federal, State and Local payroll tax regulationsPrior experience with Davis Bacon payroll laws, prevailing wage, and certified payrolls preferredMust have basic computer skills and advanced knowledge of ExcelExperience working with JDE, HeavyJob or SAP a plusCulture at MidlandCollaborative, inclusive, and engaged team environment Seek to hire for culture addWork-life balance is supportedColas Inc.
