Principal DevOps Consultant is a senior-level expert who designs, implements, and advises on DevOps strategies to improve a company's software development lifecycle and cloud infrastructure. They bridge the gap between development and operations by automating processes, building CI/CD pipelines, and promoting a culture of collaboration and reliability. Key responsibilities include architecting scalable cloud solutions, mentoring other team members, and using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Key responsibilitiesTechnical leadership: Oversee the design, creation, and adoption of DevOps practices and capabilities across the organization. Automation and CI/CD: Design and implement automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code to ensure fast, reliable, and secure software delivery. Collaboration: Work with development and operations teams to define technical requirements and ensure successful project delivery. Mentorship: Train and mentor other team members in DevOps best practices and tools. Solution architecture: Architect and implement scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions, often across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).Essential skillsCI/CD tools: Deep knowledge of tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools like Terraform and Ansible. Containerization and orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS). Scripting and programming: Strong scripting skills and knowledge of programming languages relevant to DevOps tasks. Soft skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are crucial for bridging technical and business teams. Experience: 8-10 Years. The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 . Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
