This is a full-time, onsite position located in Fords, NJ, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Position SummaryThis role is responsible for managing accounting processes, financial reporting, job costing, budgeting, and internal controls while supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have construction industry experience and a hands-on approach.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & ReportingOversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash managementPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsAnalyze financial results and provide insights to ownership and leadershipManage month-end and year-end close processesJob Costing & Project AccountingMonitor job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, and project profitabilityEnsure accurate tracking of labor, materials, subcontractors, and overheadWork closely with project managers to review budgets, forecasts, and variancesBudgeting & ForecastingDevelop annual budgets and financial forecastsTrack performance against budget and recommend corrective actionsAssist ownership with long-term financial planning and cash flow forecastingCash Flow & BankingManage cash flow, banking relationships, and credit facilitiesOversee billing, collections, and lien waivers as applicableEnsure timely vendor payments and payroll processingCompliance & ControlsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulationsEstablish and maintain internal controls and accounting policiesOversee workers’ compensation audits and insurance reportingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking industry or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience in construction industryConstruction industry is a MustFamiliarity with Foundation or Sage accounting software is preferredAdvanced Excel skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsWhat We OfferComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) plan with employer matching contributionsPaid Time Off (PTO), including vacation, sick, and personal days, as well as paid holidaysSax Advisory Group, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
