Job DescriptionThe Chemist II will utilize their scientific education and analytical chemistry experience to perform simple to moderately complex laboratory testing within a good manufacturing practices laboratory. The role involves generating results and interpreting data output to determine conformance to specifications. The Chemist II will act as a team member in the API/Raw Material/In-Process/Drug Product testing laboratories.Responsibilities+ Responsibilities: -Performs and ensures analytical work in compliance with applicable regulations+ Perform method development and validations of bioanalytical asssays+ Conduct assays utilizing automated pipetting extraction instruments HPLC with MS detection technique+ Use computer skills to compile and analyze assay results+ Assume responsibility or assist in writing reports+ Review and approve data+ Drafts and reviews reports+ Reviews SOPsEssential Skills+ B.S. in chemistry or related field.+ 2 or more years of bioanalytical sample analysis using HPLC-MS; bioanalytical extraction techniques i.e. protein precipitation liquid-liquid solid phase+ Previous experience with: lab safety solution preparations use of balances pH meter, pipettes, and other instruments+ Intermediate experience with HPLC-MS Data Processing and Analysis SCIEX Analyst+ Good documentation skills ALCOA -Well versed in GLP and other regulatory requirements+ Prior experience working with LIMS+ Ability to work independently+ Compilation and data using multiple computerized systems+ Understanding of Good Documentation PracticesJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
