Data Engineer

Data Engineer· Build and scale data pipelines in production environments using a modern data stack. · Carry out complex analysis utilizing PostgresSQL.· Implement data modeling best practices to support analytics and reporting needs.· Design technical architectures and infrastructure components. · Create automated data and code quality checks.· Implement and enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data security and compliance.· Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including business process owners, analysts, and software engineers, to understand requirements and deliver solutions. · Develop and maintain technical and process documentation such as data dictionaries, ERDs, data governance policies, etc. Desired Skills & Expertise:· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.· 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python for data processing in a production environment.· 2+ years of experience with PostgreSQL.· Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or CouchDB is preferred.· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in collaborative, cross-functional teams.· Strong understanding of the fundamentals of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data modeling concepts.· Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) in a production environment.· Experience with the training and evaluation of machine learning models in consultation with stakeholders, SMEs, and other data scientists is a plus.
