We've served the Fort Collins community for nearly a century, and as we continue growing, we are seeking a full-time Counter Sales Associate to join our small, dependable team.In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for contractors and homeowners—helping customers choose the right materials, building accurate quotes and orders, processing payments, and coordinating with our yard team and vendors to keep jobs moving. If you enjoy a fast-paced counter environment, take pride in accuracy, and like being part of a close-knit operation, we'd like to meet you!Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist customers in person and by phonePossess a strong knowledge of the product and construction materialRecommend products and solutions to customers when called forBuild quotes, sales orders, and invoices; coordinate order fulfillment and pickup/delivery with yard staffCommunicate with vendors regarding pricing and product availability; create purchase orders as neededProcess payments and returns at point of saleMaintain a clean, organized sales floor; stock and face inventoryPerform daily cash drawer reconciliationScheduleMonday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (up to 1-hour lunch)Benefits6 paid holidaysPTO accrual401(k) eligibility after one year of serviceVoluntary life and AD&D insuranceQualificationsStrong customer service skills1-3 years of experience in customer service or a related fieldComfort working with customers both walking in and over the phoneThorough attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a busy environmentBasic computer skills (POS/order entry, email, web navigation)Cash-handling experienceAbility to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
