DEKA Research and Development, located in Manchester, NH, has an immediate opening for a Verification and Validation Test Engineerto work in a dynamic medical device R&D environment. Test Engineering is a high-visibility role with a significant, direct impact on the success of the project.How you will make an impact as aVerification and Validation Test Engineer:Developing and writing test proceduresassessing end-to-end performance and reliability of user interfaces and hardwareUnderstanding device design and core technologies in order to inform test method developmentDetermining test coverage for revisions to designCreating and evaluating test fixtures if needed for product design verificationContributing to design failure investigations that may impact Risk Assessments, Hazard Analyses, and FMEAsContributing towardregulatory and agency submissionsAuthoring Test Summaries and other documentsTo be successful in this role as a Verification and Validation Test Engineer, you will need the following skills and experience:Must have a BS in Physics, Biology, Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering.Experience with research, development, and product testingExperience writing procedures for others to followExperience with data and failure analysisBroad measurement instrument knowledgeKnowledge and deep understanding of engineering fundamentalsDemonstrated problem solving ability and techniquesAbility to work as part of an interdisciplinary teamSelf-motivated and able to self-prioritizeAbility to clearly explain objectivesMust be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience in medical devices, knowledge of FDAQuality System Regulations (QSRs) and/or ISO13485, and other medical device industry experience preferredAbout DEKA:One hour from the beach, Boston, and the mountains, the historic Amoskeag Millyard once housed the largest textile mills in the world.
