Test Technician

Test TechnicianElement has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.Salary: $21- $23/hr DOEResponsibilitiesPrepares material specimens for testingPerforms tests as directed by customer specificationsAt times operates under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department ManagerInteracts periodically with customersPerforms regular maintenance on equipment.Gathers and records test dataConstructs and maintains various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order with little supervisionSkills / QualificationsWorking knowledge of laboratory safetyHS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomedMinimum of 2 years' experience in a testing related fieldAnalyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performedBasic understanding of testing conceptsPossess computer skillsAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plusPhysical Demands:Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)Lifting requirements: lifting
