Sr. Security Software Engineer, Security Operations

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Security Software Engineer, Security Operations to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.This role will own the architecture and direction of security operations systems and automation that support large-scale cloud environments. You will partner closely with infrastructure, platform, and engineering teams to build scalable guardrails, improve governance, and accelerate secure software delivery. The position also calls for strong software engineering leadership, with a focus on reliability, measurable impact, and practical security outcomes.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $155,584 – $320,320 annuallyResponsibilities Own the architecture and direction of security operations systems and automation Design and develop production services and infrastructure as code for cloud governance Create scalable guardrails for security across identity management and cloud configuration Enhance security issue identification and remediation through automation Lead cross-functional projects from design to operational maturity Establish engineering standards for security systems across teams Leverage AI in engineering and security practices while ensuring accountabilityQualifications 5+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering Proficient with AWS security architecture and Terraform in large-scale environments Knowledge of cloud governance, CI/CD security, and security automation Proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives with measurable impact Strong software engineering skills in system design and reliability Excellent communication skills for influencing and mentoring teams Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experienceBenefits In-office collaboration required only 1-2 times every 6 months Flexible working model available, with employees able to work anywhere in the U.S. Commitment to an equitable and inclusive workplace culture Opportunities for professional growth and mentorshipOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
