We are champions for better health, for those who need us most.Position Summary The Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for organizing, analyzing, and investigating Healthmap Solutions data.Compile and organize healthcare dataAnalyze data to assist in developing optimal care management and decision makingUse healthcare data to assist in administrative and operational goalsInvestigate data to find patterns and trendsUtilize different data sources for analysisDevelop reports and presentationsCommunicate analytics insights to managementBuild models and analyzing data to unearth trends and patternsDelve into data to discover discrepancies and patternsSuggest ways to both increase healthcare quality and lower costsCollaborate with management and internal teams to implement and evaluate improvementsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, Management information systems or other related focusA minimum of 1-3 years of recent experience in: Excel (Visualization, Pivot Tables, Summarizing), Database manipulation in SQL (Updates, Joins, Data types), Financial Analysis (Trending vs. Actual), Working with Project Managers and Technical GroupsPrior experience with large dataPrior experience with healthcare data within health plan or vendor environmentSkillsFamiliarity with Health Plan financial data, PMPM, Per Thousand, EnrollmentOperational analytical skillsBudget and forecasting skillsDetail orientedTravel No Travel #LI-RemoteAmericans with Disability Specifications The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
