Engineering Intern

Job description: Job Description   About the Team: Support Engineering Department functions, including but not limited to, performing quality and warranty teardown evaluations, assembly projects, working with other departments and areas to perform related tasks as need or assigned.  Works together with engineering and quality to perform detailed investigations or builds for product development, failures or warranty issues.  Help organization to continuously improve the quality and reliability of our products and manufacturing processes.   What you can look forward to as an Engineering Co-Op: Ensure the Axle Lab Area is organized & has the necessary resources & tools to perform tasks. Perform and document detailed analysis of warranty issues and other product failures. Coordinate product and process engineering tasks or projects at the manufacturing plant level. Utilize QDM for engineering tasks as assigned. Locate and move product / containers as needed for drive unit extraction and replacement.  Coordinate with logistics to maintain FIFO and transparency regarding container moves and SAP changes. Maintain inventory accuracy in road test, teardown, and non-production parts crib. Maintain inventory accuracy for parts in WIP or finish good inventory that is used for engineering purposes.   Your profile as an Engineering Co-Op: Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required. Strong computer skills required; candidate must be proficient in MS-Office Suite, with proficient understanding of MS Excel (macros and formulas).  Strong mechanical aptitude. Must be self-motivated with ability to prioritize and accept direction from multiple sources. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. Fluent in English language.
