Shop Manager / A tech

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Shop Manager / A Tech to oversee daily operations of our shop and provide technical expertise. Personality and attitude are key. This role involves managing shop activities, performing vehicle maintenance, and ensuring the efficient functioning of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess an ASE Master Certification (or experience), strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various tools, and the ability to lead a team in a professional quality first environment. This position requires leadership, technical skills, attention to detail and sales abilities. Actual pay range is $30 to $45/hour based on flat rate for an A tech. Shop Manager Base pay is well above average, bonus is based on annual revenue with the possibility of partial ownership after 2 years to be fully vetted at 5 years. Responsibilities Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely Perform vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment Utilize electrical troubleshooting and testing components Maintain an organized professional shop, including tools, equipment, supplies and personnel. Verify and lead troubleshooting efforts and recommend appropriate solutions Train and mentor staff on proper tool usage, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies necessary for repairs and maintenance Requirements Attitude and personality to interact with staff, and assist customers is most important, skills can be taught. Proficiency with all vehicle systems, diagnostics and repair Ability to lead staff effectively while maintaining a focus on quality and safety Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing shop operations Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is a plus but not required Knowledge and hands-on experience in vehicle performance This position is integral to maintaining the operational excellence of our shop and culture of pride, quality and customer satisfaction.
