Job Title: Power System Engineer Job Location: Irvine, CA Job Type: Full-time / Hybrid Position Summary ETAP is seeking a Power System Engineer to expand our capabilities in the Data Exchange Department. The ideal candidate would be an experienced electric utility engineer or electrical consulting engineer looking to apply his or her power system engineering skills to the rapidly growing ETAP distribution market as well as data transferring solutions. Duties and ResponsibilitiesUtilize standard engineering and mathematical concepts and principles in the design, coding, and testing of software componentsProficiency in modeling for transmission and distribution power systemsPerform power flow, short circuit analysis and protection & coordination to evaluate system impactsProvide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail and phone to identify, correct, or advise on technical issues.Provide training and knowledge transfer Qualification1.5+ years' experience in the design and/or operations of electric utility transmission and distribution systemsFamiliarity and working knowledge of power system analysis and simulationExperience in power system analysis software such as Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, EMTP-RV, PSCAD, CYME, PSLFKnowledge of GIS, MEP, CADExperience using AI tools and programming to automate integration workflowsStrong written and verbal communications skills, including ability to write clear and detailed technical reportsComputer Skills related to creation of reports and presentations in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPointAbility to adjust to multiple tasks/projectsU.S. Citizenship or permanent residency/work authorization EducationBachelor's degree in electrical engineering with power systems emphasisM.S. in Power System Engineering (preferred)Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or ability to obtain same Salary Range: 65,000.00 - 108,000.00 USD Annual This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
