The team is lean, collaborative, and hands-on — offering the opportunity to work cross-functionally across investments, asset management, and operations.Position OverviewThe firm is seeking a Controller who can wear multiple hats and thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment. This role oversees the company's accounting and financial reporting functions while also engaging closely with asset management and investment teams. The ideal candidate enjoys being deeply involved in the numbers and strategic analysis behind each investment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance.Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports.Support investment and asset management teams with ongoing financial analysis, including portfolio performance and asset returns.Own the modeling and financial analysis associated with portfolio strategy and potential acquisitions or dispositions.Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.Manage external audits, tax filings, and investor reporting.Work directly with leadership to provide insights that shape investment strategy.Must-HavesBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5-8 years of accounting experience (real estate preferred, but open to other industries).Strong technical accounting skills and comfort working independently in a lean environment.Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.Ability to work cross-functionally and "own” the numbers.PreferredCPA or progress toward certification.
