Position: Shipping CoordinatorLocation: Overland Park KS 66211Duration: 7+ Months (May Extend)Pay: $21/hrSchedule: M-F 1st ShiftDescriptionPreferred QualificationsWILL TRAINData Entry into a government systemExperience in International shipmentsKnowledge of AES/ACE filings (international shipments)Knowledge of HTS classificationsFamiliarity with Export / Import documentation including INCO TermsEssential Functions / Key Areas of ResponsibilityReceives and distributes incoming materialDoes basic inspection of incoming materialPrepares material for outgoing shipments. Includes packing and preparation of shipping paperworkCoordinate LTL shipments using the best freight forwarder as well as all ground deliveries (FED EX, UPS, DHL, USPS) are met.Involved in the following inventory related tasks: Stocking inventory, managing pulling material for orders including Serial Number information, stockroom maintenance, material retrieval for production, coordinating movement of consolidated material to sister divisions (pull, pack and ship), coordination of material movement to off-site material warehousing, coordination with off-site warehouse manager, assist with production work order picking, assist with pulling material for field replacements.Communicate with all levels of the organization.Demonstrates support for company values and visionMaintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.Basic Outlook, Word, Excel experienceWorking computer skills knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel & shipping systems software.Excellent verbal and written communications3 - 5 years of equivalent experience.High school diploma or equivalencyIncoming:Opening all material, checking for damage, opening packages, moving onto inspection
