Restaurant Floor Manager

Pay: $27–$29 per hour depending on experience.
Position Summary
The Restaurant Manager reports directly to the General Manager and ownership and plays a key role in supporting daily operations and long-term success.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working closely with a tight team, and taking ownership of the guest experience. The ideal candidate leads by example, supports staff development, and helps maintain the strong culture and service standards Tavern is known for.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and support restaurant staff through hiring, training, scheduling, and ongoing development
Oversee daily operations including floor management, guest experience, and shift execution
Maintain a visible, hands-on presence during service to support staff and connect with guests
Ensure food quality, presentation, and safety standards are met consistently
Manage cash handling and POS operations using Toast
Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage food and beverage costs while minimizing waste
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Review performance metrics and implement improvements in service and operations
Collaborate closely with kitchen leadership on workflow, staffing, and execution
Support and oversee events, catering, banquets, or bar operations as needed
Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
Proven restaurant management experience in a high-volume casual dining, bar, or full-service environment
Strong leadership skills with experience training, motivating, and developing teams
Solid understanding of food safety standards and restaurant operations
Experience with Toast POS preferred
Strong guest-service mindset with the ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally
Experience with inventory management, ordering, and cost control
Ability to stay organized and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
Culinary or kitchen management experience is a plus, but not required
Budgeting or financial oversight experience is beneficial
