Vice President, Private Wealth
Open Position: Vice President, Private Wealth - South (Florida to Texas)Job DescriptionThe VP, Private Wealth is a senior business development professional responsible for driving new asset growth and expanding IR+M's presence across the Southern U.S. private wealth market. This individual will develop and execute a strategic territory plan focused on RIAs, family offices, and investment consultants, while clearly and confidently articulating IR+M's active, research-driven fixed income philosophy, portfolio construction framework, and risk management approach.The role requires a demonstrated track record of business development within the region, deep relationships across the private wealth channel, and meaningful fluency in fixed income markets. The successful candidate should be capable of engaging CIOs, investment committees, and consultants in substantive discussions regarding fixed income markets, IR+M's products and performance drivers. The VP will collaborate closely with the Private Wealth Team and internal client service partners to deliver a coordinated and high-impact sales effort.This role will report to the Head of Private Wealth and will be based in, and cover, the geographic region spanning from Florida to Texas.ResponsibilitiesGrow the private wealth business by building partnerships with key RIAs, family offices, and consultants to increase IR+M brand awareness and meet Private Wealth team sales goalsDevelop prospecting list for assigned region and market channel with guidance and oversight from the Head of Private WealthConduct prospecting activity aligned with metrics-based sales goals including thought leadership, conference attendance, and meetingsLead in-person and virtual sales meetings and make customized sales presentations featuring in depth knowledge of IR+M' products and servicesForge strong partnerships with the Head of Private Wealth, other members of the Private Wealth Team, and strategic sub-advisory partners, as well as Client Service and Investment Team professionals who participate in the sales processSuccessfully partner with Client Service Team colleagues on consultant relations and client cross-selling opportunitiesShare market intelligence with the Client Service and Private Wealth Teams, as well as educate these Teams on the designated region and client segmentRequired Skills and Experience8+ years in a business development role with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and generate salesRobust existing private wealth network and demonstrated history of successfully cultivating new client relationshipsMeaningful experience representing actively managed fixed income strategies, with strong fluency across fixed income products, including municipal securitiesExperience with sales of separately managed accounts, ETFs, and other fund structuresAbility to analyze and use market data and investor feedback to formulate sales ideasOutstanding interpersonal skills and professional presenceStrong communication skills - verbal, written, and listeningAbility to convey credibility, confidence, and trustTeam player with demonstrated ability to collaborate with othersWell organized, flexible, and adaptableActive FINRA Licenses: Series 7 and Series 63What we offer youJoining the IR+M team is an opportunity to experience a unique and exciting culture and work environment.
