Freelance Content & Social Media Assistant

Hey 👋 Meagan here, cofounder of Prodfolio, a portfolio platform for product managers. We're bootstrapped, post-beta, and growing. We’re documenting the whole journey publicly and we need someone to help keep up with the content side.We have the strategy and a backlog of material - podcast episodes, community stories, product updates, raw video footage. What we need is help from someone to turn that into finished content and get it posted consistently. What You'll Do:Short-form video editing: Turn raw footage, podcast clips, and screen recordings into TikToks, Reels, and YouTube Shorts (captions, cuts, on-screen text, pacing)Social posting: Schedule and post across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube on a consistent cadenceWeekly check-in: Quick summary of what went up and how it performedThat's the core. Once we're in a groove, there's room to take on more - newsletter ops on beehiiv, content planning, LinkedIn scheduling, analytics. But I'd rather start simple and build from there. If you're local to Western Washington: We’d love to schedule in-person content days - filming talking heads, B-roll, screen recordings. We’re prioritizing local candidates. Travel not required. You're a Fit If:You know how to edit for TikTok (CapCut, Slate, or whatever you prefer — your tools, your workflow)You understand pacing, hooks, and what makes someone stop scrollingYou're comfortable with tools like Canva, Buffer, Notion, or similarYou communicate clearly, hit deadlines, and don't need to be managed closelyBonus: You have your own social media presenceBonus: You get PM/career content or have worked with B2C SaaSDon't check every box but you have a bias toward action? Reach out anyway. What You'll Get:Real content work for a real brandPortfolio pieces you can show anyoneDirect experience working with a founder who's building in publicFlexibility - this fits around school, another job, or freelance workIf this works and Prodfolio grows, the role grows tooDetails:Pay: $18-25/hour based on experienceHours: 5-10 hours/week to start, with room to growType: Contract, flexible scheduleAimed start date: April 1, 2026
