Property Manager
We are seeking a new Property Manager to join our team! The main goal of this role will be to ensure LongStreet property owners receive best-in-class service through efficient property oversight, strong communication, and proactive problem-solving that drives retention and profitability. 🎉 LongStreet Property Management was ranked as the #1 property management group in the nation by PropertyManagement.com. Our Property Manager is a strong problem solver and communicator who serves as a gatekeeper and a liaison between our owner clients and our internal team, tenants, vendors and other parties. They can connect the dots, find a solution and coordinate with everyone involved to make things happen. They are in charge of the portfolio in their market, lead the team, and make sure that the processes are running smoothly. You are the face of our company in the market and your job is to make us look great by working with integrity, showing care, and doing quality work. You wear multiple hats, decide on the task order of priority, and make sure all work gets done in a timely manner. Competencies: Fantastic communicator - verbal and written Being a single point of contact for a large amount of owner clients Able to lead a team, delegate and achieve work getting done through other parties Critical thinker, gate-keeper of information Systematic yet flexible approach to work and understanding the big picture and priorities Ability to multitask and keep things moving forward - doesn’t wait and takes action fast Entrepreneurial mindset wiht an approachable and confident expert Understands data points and makes informed decisions and recommendations Explains & educates clients and internal team members Responsibilities: Leadership & Accountability Lead, manage, and hold team members accountable to performance standards and company processes Drive decision-making by understanding priorities and enforcing established processesClient Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for all owner-client matters Manage expectations across owners, tenants, vendors, and other stakeholders Handle all escalated communication and resolutionCompliance Enforce rental agreements and applicable legal requirements Oversee the eviction process from initiation to completion Make final decisions on collections mattersAdvertising & Leasing Approve property advertisements and establish starting market rent, including any adjustments Keep owners informed on vacancy plans and leasing activity Approve rent increases and renewal termsMaintenance & Inspections Communicate inspection results and present actionable plans to owners Obtain owner approvals on all maintenance needs and expenditures Approve estimates and work-back schedules for unit turns and remodels Maintain accountability over project budgets from start to finishFinance Review, close, and bill out maintenance work orders Process vendor payments and manage accounts payable Oversee move-out accounting and final disposition of security depositsEducation & Licensing Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations Participate in ongoing continuing education and professional developmentExpected Qualifications College degree preferred, high school diploma required Excellent written and spoken English Oregon property management license certifications preferred We will support the right candidate to obtain the license 3-5 years of experience working in property management preferred (but not required)Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google SuiteExperience with Appfolio Property Manager preferred (but not required)Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently from a home office. Interest in furthering a career in property management Valid Driver’s license Accepting applications from candidates with relevant experience (Ex. Project managers, Account managers from fast-paced industries with client-facing experience willing to learn new industry)Compensation $85,000 - $90,000 / annually with bonus potentialFull-time benefits after the initial trial period, including employer-matched 401K, vacation, PTO, health insurance stipend, and paid holidays, support a work-from-home environment.
