Industrial Controls Engineer

Location: Denver, Colorado Type: Direct Hire Job #11721 Salary: $130000 Location Type: On-Site Our client, a manufacturer with a global presence and over 80 years of success developing innovative products utilized in a plethora of critical industries, is seeking a Controls Engineer to support their product manufacturing operations. This position is a crucial role within the engineering team to optimize equipment and meet manufacturing goals. Required Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 4+ years of experience in a controls focused role supporting electrical design, automation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment Proficient programming Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC and human machine interfaces (HMI) Supported the system integration of actuation/mechanical motion, servo motors, equipment sensors, and vision technologies Design control circuits, load protections, and create electrical drawings for equipment Drive functional specifications for production systems to include the interface between HW and SW Create plant sustainability standards for controls, HW/SW, PLC/HMI, and process oversight Preferred Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 7+ years of supporting automated manufacturing processes with mechanical actuation systems Supported capital projects involving new installations, equipment upgrades, and new equipment processes Developed electrical schematics and provided oversight for the build of electrical control panels in accordance with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A Partner with both manufacturing, operations, maintenance, and quality engineering to support process improvements Lean Six Sigma certification Strong data analysis using comparison techniques and SPC
