Our work involves researching, developing, and applying advanced technologies in core areas such as:Network Transport architecture design and implementation for operational fieldingOptical Transport Network (OTN) and Carrier Ethernet (CE) EngineeringNetwork Type 1 Encryption devicesNetwork Routing and SwitchingVirtual Private Networks / Network Overlay TechnologiesFamiliar with Cyber security techniques, Zero Trust, Crypto devicesNetwork reliability, resilience, mission security and assuranceNetwork Quality of Service EngineeringNetwork Operation Center tools and management designBy integrating deep technical expertise across these networking domains, we provide our federal sponsors with comprehensive solutions that enable their mission outcomes.MITRE Lead Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, testing, validation, and modernization of high quality of service, secure, resilient, and scalable Air Force network environments spanning WAN, CAN, and secure Government cloud use cases. Opportunities exist to merge Air Force networks to achieve cost savings and optimization of transport. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, strong collaboration, technical rigor, and the ability to translate sponsor and mission needs into practical engineering solutions. The role requires familiarity with Intelligence Communities architectures and Air Force acquisition processes.Basic Qualifications:Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Must have an active Top Secret/SCI U.S Government issued Security Clearance.
