Overview
Brinkmann Constructors is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our construction operations, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions for Microsoft Fabric
Create secure data connectors to consume API data, handle pagination, rate limiting and authentication
Develop and manage data architecture and databases to ensure data accuracy and availability.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all platforms.
Optimize data workflows and troubleshoot data-related issues as they arise.
Collaborate with IT, analytics, and project management teams to support reporting and dashboarding efforts.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, construction technology, and cloud platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
2+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a similar role with Microsoft Fabric.
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power Bi
Proficiency in T-SQL, Python, PySpark and/or other relevant programming languages.
Strong understanding of ETL pipelines, Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Working Conditions:
The Data Engineer's work is primarily performed indoors at Brinkmann’s corporate office
This role requires regular office hours
Light physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 10 pounds
Standing, walking, sitting, talking and/or hearing
