Electrician Job, Winnfield, LAArclin USA is seeking talent for an Electrician at our location in Dodson, LA. Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, this position will be responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair duties for on-site equipment.Electrician Job Responsibilities:Ensure proper operation of machinery and equipment by completing inspection, testing, and PM requirementsMust be able to work safely around all mechanical equipment (lock out/tag out procedures, confined space procedures, etc.)Locate sources of problems by listening to and observing the operation of electrical equipment using PLC programs, precision measuring equipment, tools and deductive logicRemove and replace defective parts by dismantling and reassembling the equipment in proper configurationClean, lubricate, and adjust electrical parts, equipment and machinery to obtain proper operating conditionsExamine parts for defects such as opens, shorts, insulation breakdowns, wear, burns or breakage to determine underlying cause and effect of machine performanceAdjust functional parameters or programs to obtain desired machine operational resultsProvide electrical maintenance information by answering questions, filling out reports, analyzing information, and keeping track of consumed parts and suppliesContributes to the Maintenance team by accomplishing other tasks as neededKnow and follow all applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, DHEC, NFPA, NEC standards and company proceduresElectrician Job Qualifications: Degree/Certification in Electrical or Electronics Technology programValid construction and maintenance OR Industrial Electrician License3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced, dynamic industrial environment requiredKnowledge of PLCs, relay logic controls, and AC/DC drives requiredExposure and licensure to work on natural gas appliances, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam and boiler systems preferredStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to operate safely in a manufacturing environment; this may include, but is not limited to potentially lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for extended periods of time bending, crouching, stooping, rotating, climbing stairs, or any combination of the aforementioned, etc.**Please note: The above statements are designed to outline the functions and position requirements of this job.
