Lab Technician

NOW HIRING!!! Seeking Lab Technicians! Organizes, and implements the laboratory quality system procedures and certifications. Also tracks laboratory testing and the certification production process. Responsible for creating & tracking work orders, corrective actions, and internal audits. Plans, organizes, implements, and performs the actual laboratory production and certification testing. This Including the use of specialized Lab equipment during testing procedures. Reports to the Lab Manager. Responsible for uploading and tracking test results to the state agency reporting system. Duties include Maintaining Lab information management systems & (ISO 17025) quality system reporting and re certification audits. Requires knowledge and capabilities of Lab Production Manager responsibilities and duties to provide redundancy in management backup and internal auditing capabilities. Develops and implements material testing procedures. Provides insight into newer technologies that can be validated in the laboratory. Keeps manage- ment apprised of methods for cost reduction & efficiency opportunities in the process and technology areas. Provides support in R&D as it relates to Cannabis testing and certifications of analysis. Job Specific Knowledge & Skills Required Must possess a technical degree and or proven experience to support the requirements of cannabis certifications & testing procedures. Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent work experience in a biological, chemical, or physical science related field (to include but not limited to medical or clinical laboratory science, medical technology, chemistry, environ- mental science, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biology, immunology, quality). An advanced degree may be substituted for experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of recent related laboratory work experience in a certified clinical, public health or environmental laboratory. Capable of conducting all testing and qualification of test and production material Able to pass audits and tests to show competency in quality control Knowledge of all applicable industry and quality standards and specifications pertaining to the Laboratory testing industry. Minimum of 1 year of on-the-job experience in a testing and development functional role. Salary ==BOE Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: El Paso, TX 79922: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: Supervising experience (Preferred) Work Location: In person
