Senior Casino Host
DescriptionJOB PURPOSE: Responsible for generating casino revenue while building loyalty among valued VIP customers and by developing relationships effectively utilizing marketing and upscale sales techniques.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:• Provides the highest level of customer service to recognize and maintain players at the casino• Educates and encourages participation by Casino guests to use player club cards• Maintains close ties with guests through personal contact and works directly with other Casino Hosts and the Call Center• Ability to qualify guests for room and meal offers based upon play• Proactively seeks new members on casino floor and externally in community• Uses sound judgment and makes good decisions in accordance with established guidelines• Handles difficult guests and situations in a calm, professional, and prudent manner• Fully complies with all applicable rules, regulations, laws, and policies• Conducts themselves with the highest levels of integrity and honesty• Coordinates with Casino Hosts and leads other Representatives to maintain departmental goals• Adheres to strict confidentiality in all matters• Performs other job duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):Must be at least 21 years of age or olderMust have 5 years plus with extensive knowledge of casino and gaming commission policies, procedures, and guidelinesKnowledge of the casino in generalSuperior customer service skillsAbility to make and apply decisions properly and effectivelyDemonstrated leadership skills to lead and guide team membersDemonstrated excellent communication, team-building, and customer relations skillsAbility to handle a variety of customer requests and personalities; Must be people oriented and have a outgoing personalityAbility to solve problems requiring judgment, ingenuity, and creativity in order to maintain a high quality of business activity within the casino.Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English; Bilingual (Spanish) a plusAbility to use computer softwareREQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma with additional applicable training/educationproven track record of personally providing excellent customer serviceExcellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated experience working in teamsMust present a well-groomed, professional appearance at all timesMust have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipmentProficient in Microsoft OfficePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Casino setting; shift workRequired to work day, swing, evening, overtime, weekends, and holidays.Some travel requiredWalking-80%; Sedentary-20%; May walk around for up to 4 hours at a timeMust be able to continuously maneuver around casino quicklyMust be able to bend, crouch, kneel, twist, and work at a deskResponds to visual and auditory cuesExposure to cigarette smoke and noiseSome exposure to VDT's and CRT's from computer use
