Industrial Hygiene Technician

Clover Leaf Solutions is seeking an entry-level Industrial Hygiene Technician with specific experience in handling beryllium. This role is crucial for maintaining safety and compliance on-site at Los Alamos National Labs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures. Eligibility for government clearance, including U.S. Citizenship, is required. The Industrial Hygiene Technician will support the industrial hygiene program at Los Alamos National Labs, focusing on the safe handling and monitoring of beryllium. This role involves conducting inspections, sampling environmental factors, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The technician will work closely with senior staff to enhance safety measures and provide training to personnel. Responsibilities: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with industrial hygiene standards, specifically related to beryllium handling. Assist in the implementation of beryllium safety programs and protocols. Monitor and sample air quality, surface contamination, and other environmental factors to assess beryllium exposure levels. Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions. Collaborate with senior industrial hygienists and safety officers to develop and improve safety measures. Provide training and guidance to staff on beryllium safety procedures and best practices. Respond to and investigate incidents involving beryllium exposure. Keep internal teams aligned with weekly progress updates. Qualifications: Prior experience in industrial hygiene or beryllium handling preferred. BS degree in Industrial Hygiene or related field. Strong understanding of industrial hygiene principles and safety regulations. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. MUST be eligible for government clearance, including U.S. Citizenship.
