Accounting Manager📍 Plano, TX (100% Onsite)💼 Direct Hire | $80K–$85KA growing and highly specialized financial services company in the Plano area is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys owning the full accounting cycle, and is comfortable operating within a transaction-heavy, lending-driven business model.This organization focuses on home improvement lending, partnering directly with contractors nationwide to provide financing solutions for homeowners—particularly those who may not qualify through traditional banking channels. By enabling higher approval rates, they play a key role in helping their partners increase revenue and close more business.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn full-cycle accounting, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reportingManage daily and monthly cash activity, including bank and payment processor reconciliations (ACH, credit cards, etc.)Reconcile high-volume transactions across multiple systems and resolve discrepanciesMaintain detailed schedules supporting trial balances and financial statementsProcess and approve payments, transfers, and investor-related transactionsSupport investor reporting, expense tracking, and funding activityPost journal entries, including servicing-related and month-end adjustmentsAssist with audit preparation and maintain strong internal controlsOversee fixed assets and depreciation schedulesSupervise and mentor an Accounting ClerkIdentify and implement process improvements to improve accuracy and scalabilityQualifications3–5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience (required)Background in finance, lending, or loan servicing environments strongly preferredExperience with AR responsibilities and willingness to remain hands-onExperience with ERP systems such as Sage 300 or NLSExposure to multiple financial systems or integrations preferredStrong Excel skills and overall technical proficiency (Word, Outlook, Adobe)Basic knowledge of SQL is a plusHighly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working in a small, onsite office environmentMust have clean credit (requirement due to nature of the business)Why This RoleOpportunity to step into a high-impact, visible role within a growing companyExposure to a unique lending and contractor-driven business modelAbility to influence processes and build structure within accounting operationsCollaborative, team-oriented environment with direct leadership exposureIf you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership, work closely with leadership, and grow within a dynamic financial services environment, this could be a strong next step.
