They specialize in Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans across the country.Opportunity:General Medicine ProviderJob Details:• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans• Available locations include provider's own office, Ithaca, NY (1 day per week needed), and Trumansburg, NY (3 days per week needed)• PRN basis, ongoing need• Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours)• One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing• No prescribing or treatment involved• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Acceptable specialties include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)• Must have active and unrestricted full license• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Follow-up administrative work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)• Local candidates only, travel included in rates• Not available to providers who are active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VACompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
