Athens, GAContract Duration: 12-36 monthsRate: NegotiableResponsibilities:Excellent employment opportunity for a Clinical and Scientific in the Athens, GA area.Shift: Hours: approx. 8:00am-5:00pmProvide technical assistance to laboratory scientists for the precise execution of experiments and research studies.Operate laboratory tools and equipment, process data for experiments, collect samples for studies, record observations, analyze experimental results, help manage inventories and stock supplies, and create study reports for further examination by team/managementSupport the development, validation and execution of analytical assays based on a variety of biological techniques including but not limited to DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, ELISA, Flow cytometry, Western blotsProcessing of biological matrices including but not limited to: plasma, serum, tissue, PBMC isolationSupport the establishment, characterization, maintenance, banking, expansion and freezing of cell linesAssist in the printing of compounds using specialized dispensing equipmentTransportation of samples between Company sites as needed.Coordinate and organize shipment of reagents/samples within the US and outside the US as neededSupport of animal experiments by provision of the conceptual test article and subsequent analysis of animal samples resulting from animal experimentsDocumentation and execution of experiments is in compliance with internal procedures and guidanceEnsure lab space and equipment is functional and well maintainedPrepare reports on laboratory activities as required by managementInventory and consumables are managed in an efficient and cost-effective wayAdherence to all applicable Legal, Environmental, Health and Safety regulations for handling and disposing of reagents/samplesKeep abreast of new developments in the field of research and incorporate them into the lab's operations as appropriate Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, Immunology etc). Master's Degree preferred> 3 years hands-on experience in a research laboratory, conducting hands-on cell culture, biological assays including but not limited to DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, ELISA.Flow cytometry and cell sorting experience is a plusAbility to execute experiments with precision, analyze data and maintain accurate recordsAbility to work independently while also being effective in a multi-disciplinary environmentExcellent organizational and interpersonal skills
