This is genuinely full-stack work: Electron and TypeScript on the frontend, native system-level code in C++ and Swift, and deep integration with LLMs. Every engineer here shapes the product roadmap — you won't just be writing code, you'll be thinking about user research, product strategy, and the future of AI-human interaction. *What You'll Build* * *Core Electron app* — design, build, and maintain cross-platform desktop features * *End-to-end features* — from UI through native modules, spanning both user-facing and infrastructure work * *LLM integration* — develop and integrate AI-powered functionality * *Native code* — system-level work in C++ (Windows) and Swift (macOS) * *Architecture* — help shape technical decisions and company direction *Requirements* * 5–10 years of experience as a Senior or Staff full-stack engineer (backend-leaning) * Track record of owning features end-to-end at a high-growth startup or top tech company * Experience building AI/LLM-powered features * Background in consumer productivity software * Willingness and ability to work on-site in San Francisco, 5 days a week *What Sets You Apart* * A technical "spike" — a deep area of passion you've gone 10 layers deep on * Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Electron * Founder or early-stage startup experience *Compensation & Benefits* * Base salary: $200,000 – $300,000 * Competitive equity package * On-site role in San Francisco * Visa transfer support available *Interview Process* * Head of Ops Screen (30 min) — culture and startup fit * Optional CEO Chat (30 min) — mutual interest check * Hiring Manager Screen (30 min) — role, initiatives, first-principles thinking * Technical Screen (45 min) — coding, your choice of language * Final Screen (3 hrs) — deep dive on your expertise and culture fit Pay: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year Benefits: * Relocation assistance Work Location: In person
