This role leads a team of associates and supervisors, driving performance, managing inventory in stores, and creating a positive and productive work environment.ResponsibilitiesSales & Guest ExperienceLead by example to deliver outstanding guest service and in-store experienceMeet or exceed store sales and profitability goalsMonitor KPIs, conversion, and other sales metrics to optimize performanceImplement and maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure store cleanliness and organizationLeadership & Staff DevelopmentRecruit, hire, train, and retain a high-performing teamConduct regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviewsDevelop staff through training programs, goal setting, and growth opportunitiesCreate schedules that ensure adequate coverage while staying within labor budgetWork with vendors to coordinate staff training and product knowledgeOperations & InventoryMaintain accurate inventory levels and execute daily restocking, cycle counts, sending and receiving transfers.Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety standards.Manage POS operations with accuracy and integrity.Coordinate with buyers or distribution teams as needed for product flow and feedback.Oversee service and operations of service desks and in store vendor shops.Qualifications3-5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the outdoor or winter sports industry.Previous experience with technical ski brands and products preferred.Proven ability to lead teams and drive sales in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Proficient with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs for extended periods.Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.Dates Of EmploymentYear RoundDeer Valley Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
