Curious, Always Learning. Own it, Act. Together, Unstoppable.The Primary Care Physician RoleThe Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) is a key member of our interdisciplinary care team. In the role, you will evaluate patients\' acute and chronic conditions, manage their multiple medications, mental health, socio-emotional needs, and provide empathetic patient education. The PCP will work closely with fellow clinical teammates to provide comprehensive primary care. While direct patient care is the primary focus, PCPs also assist with development, implementation, and achievement of key organizational objectives and metrics. Functioning as a value-based care model, our team proactively and strategically manages our population\'s health in accordance with IHI\'s Quadruple Aim, adopts best practices in coding compliance and achieves our HEDIS quality metrics. We are also encouraging Residents and Fellows at all levels to apply.Core QualificationsLicensed MD/DO with board certification in Family Medicine (ABFM) or Internal Medicine (ABIM)Experience managing complex diseases longitudinally, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, menopause, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, weight management, etc.Understanding or willingness to learn value-based care (VBC) models, including managing cost and quality of careExperience managing overall patient care and devising individualized care plansExperience educating and counseling patients on health maintenance and disease preventionExperience with geriatric medicine, particularly womenExperience with polypharmacy management and appropriate medication reductionExperience with physical and gynecological/well-woman examinations in the elderly populationExperience working in adaptable clinical situationsStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsUp-to-date knowledge of medical advancements and technologiesAlignment to Herself Health mission and dedication to providing high-quality patient carePreferred QualificationsExperience in performing clinical procedures within scope of practice (skin biopsies, joint injections, endometrial biopsies)Value-based Care experience and/or VBC trainingPrevious experience in a start-up or new clinic environmentStrong technical skills with EMR (Athena preferred) and Microsoft SuiteExperience in mentoring, precepting and/or supervision of other provider staffOther QualificationsEligibility to obtain or hold a DEA License and an NPI numberRegular maintenance of board certification and CME requirementsPassage of the pre-employment background checkEligibility and completion of registration/credentialing with Medicare and private payersProof of US Citizenship or Eligibility to Work in the US with a permanent resident cardEmployees in direct patient care are expected to be fully vaccinated for all communicable diseases including Hepatitis B, MMR, influenza and COVID in accordance with CDC guidelines.We support Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO).
