Get ready to unearth your true potential and dig into the exciting world of HEI Civil!We are looking to hire an experienced Scraper Operator to join our Arizona team!Responsibilities:Operate various equipment such as backhoe, loader, scraper, excavator, water truck, mechanized broom, skid steers, compactor, dozer, motor grader, etc.Maintain 3 points of contact on all pieces of equipment at all timesRespond to signals and directions by other staff members and work in coordination with themPerform daily walk around checks and properly complete daily checklistClean and maintain equipment Perform routine inspection on assigned equipment and report any needed repair to the supervisorAttend daily safety meetings with the crewOperate the equipment in adherence to safety policies, procedures, job site and/or traffic lawsReport any safety violation to the Supervisor and/or Safety DirectorReport any incident to the Supervisor or safety teamPerform other duties as assigned by the SupervisorWhen not operating heavy equipment, must perform all other Laborer job description and dutiesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Understanding of computerized controls and electronicsExcellent hand, eye and foot coordinationBasic understanding of construction principles and proceduresMust have physical strength and enduranceAbility to lift heavy materialsComfort working in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuationsDisciplined, dependable, and resourcefulEducation and Experience:Education: High school diploma/GED preferredExperience: 2+ years operating a diverse range of heavy equipment preferred
